Default 3rd party downloads and unlisted apps BES 5.0

I have a client where they push out two in house apps to all users. They want to prevent 3rd party downloads. In my test environment when I change the IT Policy to disallow 3rd party downloads the two apps that get push are removed and subsequently cannot be push unless I change the IT Policy back.

I can set the disposition for unlisted apps to disallowed but that removes all apps not specified in the software config even Facebook and twitter even though they are RIM signed apps.

So i do not want to specific all the apps that are allowed because I will have to update the software config whenever there is a new release for FB or twitter.

Is there any middle road? or a way to disallow 3rd party downloads with allowing my two apps to be pushed?

Assign an IT policy that allows the download of third party apps and in the software config assigned to the users, set the disposition of unlisted apps to disallowed. I've used this configuration many times...

- existing apps remain on the device
- apps assigned via software config are pushed to the device
- user is unable to download additional apps

Maybe take a look at this...

KB31559-Third party applications which have been assigned by software configurations are removed from the device when the Disable Third Party Application IT policy item is set to True

i currently have BES 5.0.3 MR7 and have not disabled 3rd party downloads via IT policy, but have set Disposition for Unlisted applications to Disallowed. However, users can still browse to the App World or other manufacturer sites via their BB browser and download any app they want.
infact, they can browse to BlackBerry App World and download app world.

should this be possible?
