As much as I'm not a Semi-hole fan, people who went to school there and get a degree and are Seminoles for life can't help it that the dirty toothless tractor driver likes their team.

I'm not sure what in the hell the above has to do with anything. It just gets on my nerves that people hate the sports program of the university that I attended. Just because they went to a rival school. I went to the University of Florida. Took two degrees from there. Went to football games when I was there. I'm a FLORIDA FUCKING GATOR. And it doesn't mean I'm a dick (I'm really not, just ask my wife ). But that doesn't mean I hate any other team. I don't hate Dawgs. I pull for the Dawgs if they're not playing UF. I even pull for AU, even though we are 0 and 2 in the last two games we've played. I just don't get the hating part of it.

Anyway, rant off.
I couldn't of said it better myself. The reason why Georgia fans hate us is plain and simple.. They are our BITCH!!! Look at the last 15 years... That is the only reason. We kick there ass year after year (excluding 3 years) but overall they are our Bitch and they hate us for it. That's OK though, as long as we continue to kick there ass by 39 points.. OUCH, they will always hate us.

But you guys are all high and mighty about not celebrating but you do it way more than you think you do.

Not reactive at all its blatant. Just because Saint Tebow does it make it OK.
I'm not saying we don't celebrate because we do, but we don't upstage players from other teams in the process. We are ALWAYS held to a higher standard. Example, in the National Championship game after catching a first down pass, Loius Murphy moved his arm forward indicated a first down, something every team in the nation does, including Oklahoma in the same game, but we get a 15 yard penalty for it. How fair is that?

The funny thing is basically our entire team is coming back, they are losing there QB and there top RB. Next year I'm thinking we will probably beat them by 50. It should be the easiest game of the season for us. I'm thinking about selling my ticket instead of going to the game because it will be such a blow out.

I don't have a dog in that hunt. Meyer said it was his dream job. Personally, I hope he stays. He definitely raises the bar in the SEC.

In his first year. Then National Championship in his second. He has a history of going big in his second year.

Philip Lutzenkirchen, the nation's #9 TE and said to be the best TE we've ever recruited, has come from his official visit this weekend and reaffirmed himself as a solid recruit.

On the new coaching staff: They are all great people and even better recruiters," said Lutzenkirchen. "The new guys have a lot more energy about them. They are more vocal with everything and I think that's how they are going to be at practice. They are going to be jumping around and having a lot of excitement to them."

So, Florida fans. I know most of you don't keep up with Women's basketball, but we have two of the best teams in the conference this year. We face one another today at 3:00 PM at the BEMC (in Auburn). Auburn's Lady Tigers are 16-0 and ranked 9th in the nation. Florida's Lady Gators are 15-1 and ranked 19th in the nation (15-game win streak since an opening night loss by two points). We have the two best win streaks in the SEC and the two best records in the SEC. Should be interesting.

The Lady Gators hired a new coach last year. They had been mediocre for way too long. Now that they're back in the top 25, I've been able to read about them in my local paper without going to the web. Go Gators!

See its these types of comments that make people hate UF. This is exactly the type of person I meet that are fla fans and thats the first comment out of their mouths.

So therefore I despise the gators. It has nothing to do with dominance. I dont treat Tech fans this way. I may goad them a bit but I know when to quit UF fans don't. They push until you are ready to throw fists.

I don't have a degree from Georgia but I did attend classes there and have many family members that graduated from the school. So I am not just someone who fell in love with them as a child.

Otto its not a lie I have not met one true Gator fan I like in person. I'm not talking about the tshirt wearers I am talking true gator fans.

IAM4UF is a classic gator fan. His comments prove it time and time again.

Trust me Dawg, if we met at the Georiga/Florida game we could party all day and have a good time. Every game I go to, including the NCG, I mingle with the opposing teams. If you are a person who can't take some shit talking, then yes you will be pissed. But, as with most fans of opposing teams, they bring it right back and we have a beer, laugh and do it all over again.

I have been around every team in the SEC, and most teams that we play OOC. Besides LSU and Miami, all the fans I have got along with fine. When they come to the swamp, I give it to them HARD. But, when I go to their house, I expect it back.

Do you actually go to the games? Have you ever been to a Georgia/Florida game and tailgated with some TRUE Gators fans? Because I can tell you the red neck Georgia fans I run into in Tampa are the dumbest people I have ever met, they probably couldn't name 3 players on the team. BUT, the true Georgia fans, the ones that follow the team and go to the games and are long time fans are always pretty cool.

I have only been to one Ga/ Fla game and I was young so couldnt tell you much about it. Yes, I go to games I have been going since I was 4 I guess. I can tell you the starting line up for the past 20 years. I have worked in the home of Vince Dooley and Ray Gof. My father was great friends with the Chairman of the University of Georgia foundation.

I have been to SC, Tenn and Miss for games. I have held season tickets for a decade I just cant afford them anymore.

I'm sure youre a hell of a guy its just the way you come across on the forums so I put you in the same catagory as the rest of the gator fans I have met. I am sure there are Dawg fans that are the same way.

I am not a gloater I like to razz with the best of them. I have been embarrassed by Dawg fans in the past at Tech games some of them need to just be slapped. These are the types of fans I hate no matter what school they are going for.

Two weeks ago I worked in the home of a Florida recruiter, his arrogance was so over whelming I couldnt wait to get done and get the hell out of there. My boss charged him an extra 10% just for being a dick head.

Now I know not every single Gator is like this, and I hope to meet some cool ones but so far no luck.

Hey, like Dawg, I agree with you. He is a gifted athlete, and a positively good human being. I'm not even remotely a Tebow hater, but yeah, I was getting pretty sick of the announcers the other night. Not Tebow's fault, I totally understand.

I actually have a lot of respect for the Gators, and I like Urban Meyer. I could have probably been classified as a "Gator-hator" during the Spurrier years, and the fault for that can be laid directly at the feet of motor-mouth Steve. To compare and contrast, as you said, no argument that Tebow's a gifted athlete and a really good guy. On the other hand, Spurrier is a gifted coach who comes across as a total dick.

Had the Gators not been playing a Big 12 team in the MNC, I might have been honestly cheering for them. I'd not hesitate to cheer for them against USC. Definitely against Notre Dame. Most of the Big 10 - although now that I'm marrying a Buckeye later this year, have to temper that against the Bucks.

2) what is the best conference in college football? Big12 or SEC? Obviously it is the SEC, and I would like Dallas to post such, which he said he would when the Gators beat OU. We have a better bowl record than Big12 and we won head to head, their best team against ours. The SEC have won the last 3 national championships, no argument the SEC as of late is the best conference in college football.

3) Who should win the heisman? The heisman should be voted on AFTER the bowl game. Tebow clearly was the best QB and refuses to lose. I wonder if OU corner back still thinks Tebow would be the 4th best QB in the Big12.

I do want to say I have total respect for OU and have told many OU fans such. They came to play, hard hitting and their D stepped up. No doubt, Bradford will be a good NFL QB. The OU fans were very classy and are one of the nicest fans I have ever been around.

I will post some pix of the game soon, still have quite the hangover from last night.

Thanks for the comments on Oklahoma. It was a great, hard-fought game, unlike some of the blowouts we've seen in the past.

The complete shocker to me was that it was a defensive wrestling match rather than an offensive shootout.

Congrats to the Gators.

How long till next year? My Huskers are actually ranked in the very first preseason Top 25 to appear today, not that it means that much this early.

If the Gators come back and win the MNC again next year, that would be only the second time in modern history that's been done - the other being Nebraska in '94, '95 and '97.

Let's look at some final Gator stats.. since they are the only ones that matter.

-Top 5 in the nation in Defense, Offense and Special teams.
-2nd toughest schedule in the nation.
-We played 11 bowl teams this year.
-The last 8 games the Gators defense has only allowed 6 TD's
-We beat two teams ranked #1 in the nation back to back.

It looks like with the team coming back, that we should be contending next year also. Its a great time to be a Florida Gator.

Auburn Lady Tigers won 81-65. WOOT! This sets us up perfectly for the Lady Vols in a couple weeks. The SEC Women's league is not very competitive this season. The Vols, Tigers, Commodores and Gators are the only teams currently ranked. We only play the Vols once during pre-tourney play, so that'll be good. Never thought there'd be a day that we'd be excited about basketball again. LOL!

Never thought there'd be a day that we'd be excited about basketball again. LOL!
Congrats! A solid win. Looks like the Lady Gators are not quite ready for prime time. But getting better.

Your girls may be where ours were last year. I think our Lady Tigers are far from young. But hey, maybe we might be building a dynasty. LOL! We have the new coliseum going up by next season, so that's a big plus for recruiting. I hope they can keep Jeff Lebo on over the guys, although the jury has long since been out over whether or not a former Tarheel great could translate into a great coach.

I just wanted to take a minute and quote this, as I have a feeling that it may make its way into my signature at some point. LOL!

We have the two best win streaks in the SEC and the two best records in the SEC. Should be interesting.
Can I correct your first couple sentences:

So, everybody who posts on this forum. I know all of you don't keep up with Women's basketball....

Is there anyone else who posts on here who doesn't give two shits about offseason recruiting and who's a 5 star player and what their recruiting rank is?

Just wondering, I have never cared about that stuff and just wait until they start actually playing actual games before I even know about the players coming in.

I'm with Dawg, no round ball, and I am one of those obsessed individuals that follows college football year round. If you were from Alabama, you probably would too. We don't have a lot to distract us from our passion.
