Overview

The Novell® GroupWise® 7.0.3 HP3 Field Test File (FTF) includes fixes for multiple Novell GroupWise defects to address issues with BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.1 for Novell GroupWise when using the Novell GroupWise 7.0 Object application programming interface (OAPI). For more information on the known issues, review the following BlackBerry Technical Solution Center knowledge base articles:

KB17901 - MFH Update Contact is failing to process because of an exception with the Novell GroupWise OAPI call 'AddressBookEntry4.refresh'
KB18218 - MFH Update Contact is failing to process because of an exception with the Novell GroupWise OAPI call 'Fields.Add'
KB17900 - Address Book Reconcile is failing because of an exception with the Novell GroupWise OAPI call 'AddressBookEntry.get_Fields'
KB18499 - GWCheckNew.exe process stops retrieving new mail after encountering an exception in Account_GetMessage

For details on the issues addressed by this Field Test File, browse to Novell's Support Website at http://support.novell.com, and search for "Blackberry Enterprise Server Issues Addressed by GW 7.03 HP3 FTF" or Novell TID# 7003539.
Currently this Field Test File is supported "Best Effort" by BlackBerry Technical Support. To apply the Field Test File, complete the following steps:
  1. Stop the BlackBerry Controller and BlackBerry GroupWise Service. Close any open copies of the BlackBerry Manager.
  2. Make sure the Novell GroupWise Client installed on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server is at version Novell GroupWise 7.0.3 HP3.
  3. Extract the gwcma1.dll file from the Field Test File package.
  4. Rename the gwcma1.dll file in C:\Novell\GroupWise (or other Novell GroupWise Client installation directory) to gwcma1.old, or move the original file to another location. Copy the new gwcma1.dll file into the directory.
  5. Start the BlackBerry Controller and BlackBerry GroupWise Service.
