Angry 8820 internal parts

I have a att 8820, its just past the warranty. The Blackberry will not turn on, the LED just blinks red twice in succession. I was looking for any vendors that have spare parts for this, would probably be cheaper to buy a new blackberry.
any suggestions?

Thanks

Not sure I'm following...are you looking to sell your device to someone for spare parts?

Did anything happen to trigger this event? A drop? Water damage?

If you connect to Device / Desktop Manager does it pick up the device?

It gives a device error when i plug it into desktop manager, I tried every trick that was out there to bring this back to life. No signs of water damage at all. It was given to me by one of the users in my company so there is no telling if it was dropped. No signs of damage to the device either. From the blinking red light pattern it appears the internal ROM is bad, at least thats what I have dug up on Goggle. Thanks for the link , I will check it out.

Thanks hdawg

What if you try loader /nojvm ?

Connect the device and then open a command prompt, go to the apploader directory (C:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader) and execute: loader /nojvm

I tried the loader /nojvm a few times, it freezes in the middle of the process. I might give it another try again.
Thanks hdawg

I had the same double red blinking problem with a Storm recently that was dropped. After several times, I finally did get it detected briefly using BB Desktop Software on a Mac, but shortly after, it died completely and won't even blink red.
So, chances are that your device is dead too. The only indestructible BBs are the 7250s

Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a used 8820 from ebay seeing how old the 8820 is already? Is that no option for you?
