I currently work for a company that is actually two companies due to partnership rules. With that said, I have two email accounts on my network and needed to have access to both of them...

For my purpose, My BlackBerry server is a virtual. I went ahead and created a copy of it and then ran the newsid tool to join it to the domain as "bes2".

Here is how you setup 2 or more BES accounts on 1 blackberry.

1. On both servers, create new blackberry accounts
2. Open Desktop Manager and open the first mail profile.
3. Go to advanced options and email settings
4. Rename the account from "Desktop" to "Company Name or Email domain"
5. Repeat process for the 2nd account
6. Go ahead and wireless activate the first account
7. Then try and activate the 2nd account. You will be prompted to wipe data. Say no
8. Finish activation and you now have 2 bes accounts on 1 blackberry.

Make sure to not skip step #4. I tried manually adjusting the tables of the bes db and it didn't work. You must rename the accounts to something different or the first account will be overwritten because you cannot have two "desktop" profiles on a BlackBerry. I believe that the profile info is added to the mailbox and not the BlackBerry database, so you must use Desktop Manager.

As a followup, the first IT policy will be the one that takes precedence. Also i do believe PIM sync is limited to the first, while you get BES type email on the second.

I have total pim sync on blackberry devices for both accounts. I think this was updated because they now allow user to have bes and unite on the same blackberry.

I however was unable to get pim sync to work on the first account on a htc diamond using blackberry connect. I was only allowed to have pim sync on the 2nd account.

Address book and calendar should be seperate but what about a task or memo? Do they sync to both?

Yes. I have duplicates and you can pick which to sort... That is at least on my new storm.

Is it possible to have a single BES account on multiple Blackberries?

No, it's not.
