Does anyone know of an existing app or documented information on configuring WiFi settings on a BlackBerry using a downloadable utility or app that users can download on their devices? This would apply for non-BES connected users. In a larger scale, we are looking for a similar utility for all mobile device platforms.

We currently have a vendor that has a product that does this for Windows, OSX, and iPhone, but they do not have any current plans to expand to other platforms. Our students download the utility and run it, which configures the SSID name, sets our SSID as primary/default, and configures the other WiFi security settings.

We are hoping to expand these offerings to other mobile devices in an effort to cut down on Helpdesk calls. Students just don't like to read or follow instructions.
