Default Mass Storage Failure - Is there a RIM solution?

We just purchased several dozen Bold 9000's for our company. We've been testing with two of the phones to ensure reliability before we deploy to the field. There seems to be an issue with the mass storage capabilities of these phones. When you attach the phone to the USB port of a PC no devices show up in My Computer.

Is there a solution to this problem? We simply can't afford the time to perform a workaround on every phone before it is deployed and we certainly don't want to send them out to the field knowing they are defective.

Should we just return the phones and look for a device that is reliable?

Any suggestions would be helpful in making our decision.

Can you describe the problem you are having in more detail?
This is the first I've heard of any Mass Storage issues on the Bold.

I'm more inclined to believe that a problem of this nature would reside on the PC/Windows side.
Most likely due to a drive-letter conflict.

Did you put a memory card in the BB? Did you get prompted to enable mass storage mode on the BB? If the device has a password you have to enter it before mass storage mode is enabled.

There is a RIM kbase on Mass Storage Mode issues.

Or, more likely, were these unlocked using some software illegally obtained from RIM, which disabled the Mass Storage?
