Abe, to me 223 was the hardest of the BlackBerry beta test's I have taken, whether 4.1 or 5.0. Tell me what you think.

Are these the ones where they ask for detailed steps where to click to do certain task in BBM/BAS? If that's the exam, then you are right Compared to this the solution designer with its lengthy scenarios was verrrryyy easy

Actually, the questions were different than your example, but were the most in-depth and detailed of any exam to date.

Honestly I can't really remember that exam - it is almost a year since I took it. I will report about the 5.0 one when I take it next week.

Yes, it is very similar to the 410 exam in this regard. There wasn't a lot of questions about it, but I'd definitely brush up on where to click and general organization within BAS.

I'm looking into starting to study for these exams or the Domino version at least. Where did you guys find study material? Or is training mandatory?

Hey lion77! U can start with BCP-221 supporting blackberry in an enterprise environment. This exam focuses on the basic functionality related to the BB devices and BES 5 server options.

Just go through the device options and their functionality when integrated via BES. U can get the technical documentation for BES from the blackberry.com related to blackberry administration service. U should be a bit familiar with the BAS UI.

I passed BCX-620 too. Any one could post something about BCP-420? From witch documents do you prepare?

Hey tweedle congrats. For BCP 420 u need to go through admin, install and upgrade and monitoring service docs. I had a lot of questions related to monitoring service.

BCP-221, BCP-222, BCP 421 passed.

Just need 4 and half hours to do BCX-621, hopefully in a few weeks after some holidays.

What are you guys using for study guides? Besides hands on experience and "break-fix" situations?

Ok so I purchased the BlackBerry Coach self study guide for the BCP-420 exam, unfortunately I"m on my own as far getting a test environment up for my hands on setup.

I'vd downloaded VM PLayer for the virutal server(s) (2008r2 64bit) and BES 5.0.1.. Problem is, how the hell do I get my hands on a trial copy of Exchange and SQL?

I'm taking bcp-221 next week. Been studying the elementk book and using previous knowledge. Does one need to know step by step clicks to accomplish certain tasks on the BAS? I know when I took BCP-211 you had to know this and there were a lot of questions on it. How similar is BCP-221 to BCP-211?? Any S/MIME questions? I know general certificate and card reader security stuff but not sure about S/MIME, Thanks!

It was a very easy exam... for the most part. We have half a dozen BES environments (with ~12k BBs total) running v4.0 Sp7, and various builds of v4.1 and v5.0 currently. I've been administering various BES versions for over a decade now, but like any large product there are pieces we don't use, and multiple ways to skin a cat. For instance, I seldom use the BES management console or BAS for simple stuff like MACDs as I do them from the command line. So I had to refresh my memory on some stuff.

I want to know what materials for bcp-420 or what I need to study to do well on the test. whatever things i help me to pass

passed bcp-420 back in march. just passed bcp-620 today. was a bit nerve wracking because i know a lot because of what i have done in my company, but feared what i didnt know because i havent done it before.

i figure ill do bcp-221 then 223 which i hope are easier than 420/620.
