The good folks in Waterloo have been fairly busy over the last week. For those that don't know, there was another vulnerability found in the PDF Distiller in BES 4.1. See the KB below for more information.

KB17953 - Vulnerabilities in the PDF distiller of the BlackBerry Attachment Service for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server

RIM has recommended that you either apply the Interim Software Security Update 3 (IS3) patch or you apply the Maintenance Release 5 (MR5) update.

BES 4.1 MR5 includes a performance enhancement for improving indexing in the database and some improvements to the Policy Service to help reduce load on the database. It also resolves a security vulnerability with the MDS Connection Service and a NUMBER of calendaring issues.
