EXPLANATION
I'm having an issue with meetings. This only happens when a meeting is created in Outlook 2007 or OWA and sent through our Exchange 2007 server, and the user tries to respond to a meeting request on their Blackberry. Unfortunately, this is a common occurence, so I'd like to get this worked out. If the meeting is created on a Blackberry, it works just fine.

SYMPTOMS:
The message is marked with the RXOD (red "X" of doom, i'm trying it out, lemme know if it works :P), and the following error is displayed: "The message cannot be found. It may have been moved or deleted since the request was sent."

I've seen a few different errors on the BES:

WHAT I'VE TRIED:
A meeting is removed from your Outlook Calendar after you accept the meeting and then delete the accepted meeting request
Applies to 2003, not 2007.
Developer information about the calendar changes in Outlook 2003 Service Pack 2, in Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2, and in later versions of Exchange Server and of Outlook
Ditto.
Resend service books.
No effect. Same problem.
Recreate BES account.
Ditto.

I'M STUMPED:
This seems to be an enterprise-wide problem, so recreating mailboxes in OOTQ (out of the question).

Any ideas?

What version of BES are you running?
Is BES on its own machine?
What version of CDO.dll are you running on the BES? MAPI32.dll?

The error suggests that it cannot locate the original email in the users mailbox. Has it been confirmed that the email has not been moved or deleted prior to accepting the meeting on the BB?

Does this happen every time? Are all users affected?

@gibson_hg: Answers to your questions:

Do you have any Exchange/Outlook 2003 users? Have you thought about upgrading to SP6 with latest MR? That might fix it but I'm not 100% sure.

I have not come across this particular issue before, very strange. Sounds like BES cannot see the original request in their mailbox to send the acceptance.

Can you open the actual MAGT log file and post the entry in question, along with any surrounding entries that are associated to that error?

P.S. - In all my years and time spent on the major online forums, I don't believe I've ever seen the acronym 'RXOD' but that may very well be my favorite new 'HAH!' term

you are getting this because the bb user has a delegate setup in outlook, who has full control of their calendar. Fix that to fix the problem.

if this were the case, I'd have many people complaining about this same issue but, it seems to be one person and continues to come back.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

I have removed/readded him from the BES, forced a calendar sync, sent service books, wiped the device and got it working for a while. Then, we deployed a new BB and it worked for a while.....

I'm having the same issue with 1 user (at least that's been reported to me)....

Tried new device, wiping device, and he *claims* to have removed the delegate....although I want to get ahold of his laptop to check for myself.....
