Cool Browser not using MDS Connection/proxy

Hi All,

I have an issue where users handsets (OS5 and OS6) dont use our MDS connection to go out over the internet. In fact the option does not even come up to change to Blackberry browser. It only shows Internet browser.

Does anybody have an idea how to force this? Or at least give the option to use Blackberry browser. I know in OS6 you cant change this. I would like users to be able to have their web traffic go through our proxy and then block things like porn etc.

I also have another underlying issue here. I have PGP setup and I am having an issue with the BES server talking to the PGP internal server. I can ping the PGP server from the BES but for some strange reason when I enrol on the handset It never reaches the internat PGP server. Which it should.

I have a theory that because the handsets arent going through the MDS for web traffic, and are going straight out over the internet, that this is why the handset is not seeing the internal PGP universal server.

I think If I fix the MDS connection issue the other will work as well.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Gav

How;s you bes configured web browsing wise - E.G. on internal network, gets to internet via proxy? In DMZ, etc...

What error do you get when you try to access your internal server? I've had some fun with this lately and in my case it was MDSCS seeing SSL certs as untrusted (event though they were valid verisign certs)... once fixed all of my internal access woes went away. In my case the fix was to disable TLS proxy and all was good.
