Default block fw update for users

hi,
i am curious if there is some way to prohibit the users to update/load the fw of the their bb?
i have personally updated all of their bb and removed all the games,youtube,faceboot,blabla ... and don't' won't some "smart" user overcome this...

You can't prevent it. You can only control the consequences to some degree.

You can prevent users from installing certain applications via IT policy. For example, in the Security tab, you can prevent users from installing Social Networking applications (i.e. Facebook, Twitter). Or to prevent users from installing any third-party applications, you can prevent users from installing third party applications (also on the Security tab). Look at the Policy Reference Guide for all available policy rules.

To prevent users from upgrading device software, prevent users from manually checking for software updates on their device via IT Policy. The rule is in the Wireless Upgrades tab. Also, you can prevent users from using the Application Loader in Desktop Manager via IT Policy. I believe this is in the Desktop or Desktop Only tab.
