Blackberry Manager installed on local PC, rather than terminal service into BES to use BB Manger.

Had Mary Smith on the BES, she left the company, they deleted her AD account and exchange mailbox. BES of course started with the "failed to initizlize" (which is how I found out it was time to remove her from the BES).

While deleting her, something happened, BB Manager hung.

Mary Smith not found when searching her on BB Manager. And doesn't show on the "users pending delete" tab.

BRK to delete either by distinguished name, display name or STMP email address fails saying user isn't on this BES.

Still getting "Failed to initialize" from alerts and in message agent log, and HHCleanup errors resolving her by name.

I also tried having the exchange team create a new mailbox with matching display name and SMTP email address. I was able to add her to the BES, but HHCleanup still errors, and if I do a SQL querry on the BESMgmt database, I see TWO listings for her name. Deleting her, only removes one instance. The "other" is still there.

And this (and the other BES sharing the BESMgmt db) have been stoppped/started since the initial attempts to delete her.

How do I fix this?

If user is stuck in pending delete, you can drop user from database using the following:

1. Open command prompt
2. Type "osql -E"
3. 1>use BESMgmt
4. 2>go
5. 1>delete from userconfig where mailboxsmtpaddr=''user@domain.com''
6. 2>go

so you are saying, just delete from the SQL databse?

Btw, user isn't pending delete. She isn't found in BB Manager as either active, or pending delete.

BUT doing that, worked!
