I’m planning a BES 4.1.7 to 5.0.2 migration using Blackberry Enterprise Transporter. We will be performing a knife-edge cutover of our single BES server, and will be moving the existing SRP to the new server.
The Blackberry Enterprise Transporter documentation states that prior to migrating, I must log into BAS, create a user account, assign a device to that account, and activate the device. How can I do this on the new server if I have only one SRP? And is this just a suggested test procedure, or is there some actual server/database initialization that this process triggers?
Here are two links to what I’m referring to:

Before you use the BlackBerry Enterprise Transporter for the first time, you must log in to the BlackBerry Administration Service and verify that you can create a user account, assign a BlackBerry device to the user account, and activate the device.

Description: This message appears when you try to move user accounts to a destination BlackBerry® Enterprise Server that has never had user accounts added to it and has never had BlackBerry devices activated.
Possible solution: In the BlackBerry Administration Service for the destination BlackBerry Enterprise Server, create and activate a test user account. Try moving user accounts to the destination BlackBerry Enterprise Server again.
