Default Cant activate any users - BES 5.0.1

hello everyone,

something really weird just happened. earlier today i activated a user on my exchange 2010 server no problem. About an hour later when i was asked for 2 more activations - same device model 8350i but exchange 2003. both users failed instantly. I tought it was just the users on MSE2003 but i tried a couple of users from MSE2010 and same thing, it fails right away. I tried IEMS test on all users and everything is successful. i restarted the server and same issue.

All of my 300+ users currently activated have no issues. They are able to send and receive, it's just the new activations that arent going through.

Any ideas? to be honest, this is something that has never happened before.

sounds like either the edp.dat message is not getting to the inbox, or the password is not set.

Obviously the devices are provisioned correctly?

Did you configure Exchange 2010 MAPI throttling properly as mentioned in the RIM documentation.. if not this could be the likely outcome

I'd want to know first that the edp.dat emails are arriving, and then what the MAGT log was saying around the time of the activation. When I've had issues it's been around those two things.

Hi.. do you see any errors?? Meanwhile check if the computer which is installed with BAS is able to access internet and able to update device.xml and vendor.xml.

If the issue has been resolved already, please share the solution.
