A question about Actications. I have a BES 5 server pair (SP1 MR2) that i've setup for WiFi activations as per this link Configure a BlackBerry Router to permit BlackBerry device activations over the enterprise Wi-Fi network - Administration Guide - BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express for Microsoft Exchange - 5.0.1

I have not checked the " Prevent all serial bypass traffic through this router except WLAN activations" check-boxes. When trying to activate a BB Bold 9700 & 9000 (both running BBOS 5) via wifi I cannot do so out on external network via serial bypass but I can via a WiFi connection that is direct to the internet.

Sooo.. my Q for everyone is can I do serial bypass activations if I have a WiFi device on my internal network or must I setup a separate router with the above mentioned check-boxes for Serial Bypass activations.

Any help would be appreciated.

you can disable serial bypass if you want and it won't impact the WiFi activations.
