Afternoon all,
I have had this little issue for a while now and cannot seem to sort it out. The problem is this:

If I want to send out a pin message (APB) to the BlackBerry community I need to remote to the BES server, start BlackBerry Manager and send the message. This works fine.

If I attempt the same excerise from my laptop I get the error :
RPC Error Detail : Access Denied.

Now from my laptop I am able to do:
1. Create users
2. Reset EA
3. Delete users
4 Send service books
5. Assisgn/unassign configurations

So I can actually operate normally from my laptop, sending PIN is the only thing I cannot do.

Checked out the Knowledge base, nothing there but I stand to be corrected

Any suggestions?

Environment:
BES 4.1.4 MR3
Windows Servers
Domino 7.0.3
SQL 2005

Not from my laptop using BB manager. Logging onto the BES server and using BB manager, no issues.

Can't say I've never tried that. I do all such things using wrappers around BESUserAdminClient which to me is a much faster way to go.

Give this a try:

from your workstation do this:

net use \\BESNAME\c$ /user:YOURDOMAIN\YOURUSERNAME

such as:

net use \\BES01\c$ /user:PORT3101\hdawg

You'll be prompted to put in your password ... do that and then you should see:

The command completed successfully.

Try to send a PIN after that.
