BES 4.0.7.13 Application Push Issue

Hi Everyone

Please go easy on me, this is my first post

Until a week ago we were only using our BES 4.0.4.3 for email only and everything was fine. We started a project to roll out a piece of CRM software to two test users (Pocket CRM from SuperOffice) and configured the relevant IT policy and software configuration. After upgrading the vendor.xml and device.xml files (thanks to advice found in hdawg post

) the .alx file was pushed to the Blackberry and shows in Downloads in my 9700. However the .cod file doesn't seem to be pushing out completly and therefore the application is not functioning. I've included some of the log file below (sorry if it's too much, wasn't quite sure how much was relevant).

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

For info, I've run the command on the same post I found from hdawg to clear the ITAdminQueue and that hasn't seemed to help.

I think the best thing to do is to:

1) remove the software config
2) delete the application from your device
3) wipe out ITAdminQueue
4) restart BES
5) re-create software config and attempt push again

It looks like the push is stuck in a loop of sorts.

Also, prior to restarting the BES delete everything in:

C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\PackageCache\FILESHARE_pcukbb\Research in Motion\

BES will re-create everything in there as needed.

I tried that but it seems to have gotten back to the same type of loop. This is what the log is showing, I did everything in the correct order etc.

Can you install the application using Desktop Manager?

Just tried that, the application installed but when we try to run it we get a message that it cannot connect to the server to download the configuration. Not sure how to fault find, would this be in a log?

can you post a screenshot? Seems like it is a problem with the application. An error might be in the handheld log (ALT + L G L G) but I'm not an app developer so I can't offer much insight on that.

The application on the 9700 is not able to commnuicate with the server that we have the database loaded on, however in the log I notice that it is trying to connect to localhost:8080 which is not the url given to it via the IT policy.

Does anyone know if I can edit any setting on the BB to create a host for localhost to go to a different IP or anything that might help with this?
