Default Error 5305

Ok I'm going crazy over here! After figuring out that I have to wait a few minutes after a server restart for restarting all the BES services. ( If not MailSore service was not starting with a few sql error in the event log). Now all services start but I got this in my event log:
BlackBerry Messaging Agent mail Agent 1 failed to start. Error code 5305
After searching in google found that article :
KB01018 - Service failed to start, generating error 5305
None of those point seems to be my problem. If anyone can help...

Setup:
Os: Windows Server 2003 x86
BES 5.0
Exchange 2003

Thanks

Have you actually gone through and ruled out each of those that are relevant to your environment?

One of these has to be helpful, if not you may have found a new issue. Yay for you if you did

This error points to Exchange connection, cannot access the mailstore.

What order were your servers restarted in?

Ok a few days ago I contacted RIM support they din't get to me yet but 1 thing they did is they made me download a very useful tool : Blackberry System requirement tool: The output of this tool helped me rulling out the 13 points.

But still I must of missed some thing. And yesterday after going true every logs I found this in the Messaging Agent debug log:

Code:
Failed to read 001e6602 reg value from the BlackBerry MAPI profile.
So right now I'm searching why I have this trouble I found this:
View Document
But it doesn't really help me because I dont have any 0 in my IP address.

Is there an order??? I just went true the services stopped them one by one and then restart...

EDIT:
OK found that: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/dynam...C&kcId=KB13718
Restarted all my services in that order .... din't help me but its good to know.

Have you recreated the MAPI profile for your BESAdmin account? If you haven't, give that a try.

What I meant about restarting servers in order was your Exchange and BES. if you restart your Exchange then you should reboot your BES.

What actually brought the issue forward in the first place?

What other things have you tried?

The Exchange server and BES are on the same computer.

Like I said I recreated the MAPI profile. I did a clean uninstall and reinstall of the BES. Check if I gave all the permission to the BESAdmin account.

Mayby the output of the Blackberry system requirement tool is going to help someone help me!!!

You could try a clean uninstall and reinstall. Something might have mucked up during the initial install.

Not sure if anyone picked on this but it looks like you are running Exchange 2003 without any Service Packs installed.

BES 5.0 requires Exchange 2003 SP2 to be installed. Strange that no one at RIM detected this. SP2 has been a requirement long before 5.0 came out.

Upgrade to SP2 if you want to get this working. That is step one.

Disregard the clean uninstall for now.

Hello,
Thanks for your help.
So today I did 2 thing:
Reinstall the BES on another server (RIM tach support finally got back to me and told me that it wasn't supported to install BES on the same server then exchange)
Installed exchange 2003 sp2.
After all that ... No error in the application log about the BES so I try again.
I created a new user, with an activation email. I received it. Try the enterprise activation on a device.

And it worked for a few second there ... But it got stuck at waiting for services...
So I tried again and now its not working at all the activation email stays in the inbox.
I checked a few thing and i noticed that CDO.DLL wasn't the same version on both server and I read its a bad thing. So i fixed that but still no luck.

I don't understand why did it work for a few secs...

Good move getting the BES on it's own machine, it will make things easier for you in the long run.

The CDO.DLL file is only for wireless calendar but it is important to make sure that the version on the BES is the same or higher than your Exchange server.

Did you try clearing the mailbox of all prior activation emails and removing/readding the user and then try again?

If you have no luck check out this KB about Enterprise Activations, it explains every step of the process and what can go wrong:

Hello,

I reboot and I can login again. I also try the enteprise activation from the webdesktop... got a contact your administrator error message.I have those warning message in the Event Log:
"USERNAME" RPC command failed - no connection to BES Agent
Lots of those for every BES Services:
[BIPPe] WARNING: Using default BIPP shared secret

[CFG] Controller won't generate userdump files. Userdump.exe not found.
And those last night but avent got any today after reboot:
SPOCK' agent 1: will not restart - reached the maximum of 10 restarts per 24 hours

I'm desperate here so I'm going to post to full agent log In case someone sees something I don't.
