Default Calendar Invitations Issue (I know, I know...ugh)

My wife uses Outlook 2007 and has her Gmail setup in it using IMAP.

She creates a calendar item in Outlook and invites me at my BES email address.

I get the invitation no problem, accept and all works fine. Calendar item is added.

If she updates the calendar item from Outlook I get the update and all is fine.

She also has an 8900 with a data plan and has the same Gmail address itegrated via BIS.

She uses DM to sync her calendar between Outlook and BB.

Now, after syncing she makes a change to the same said appointment from her BB and sends me the update.

All I get is a blank email with the name of the calendar item but no calendar attachment/formatting.

Any ideas?

This same scenario DOES work if the original invite from her Outlook goes to my Gmail BIS account rather than my BES account so it seems to be an issue with the BES/Exchange environment.

I believe our BES is 4.1.6 and both handhelds are running the latest 5.0 OS's.

Has anyone seen this before?

I've seen it before, but not on a consistent basis. Seems like there is a KB about this issue....it sounds like a familiar one.

I can duplicate it.

However, if I do it the other way around...create it on her BB, send to my BES account, sync to her Outlook then send an update from Outlook it works just fine and I get the update.

Would be nice if it was a local fix, but I'm guessing it's on the BES or Exchange. Explaining to my BES admin how there is an issue with my wife's gmail and sending me calendar updates isn't going to get me far!

I looked through hdawg's KB's but nothing that refers to this...
