Question Logging BBM conversations from BES

I know that BBM conversations do not rout via the BES, but is there any way to track and audit the messages? Im asking because the state of Florida may pass new legislation requiring all communication done on a BlackBerry, be logged, indexed, and made searchable upon a public records request.
Thanks for any info!

With BES 5, it's fairly simple to log BBM conversations. (In previous BES versions, logging was sorta ugly and cumbersome.)

There's an IT Policy setting to enable logging. Set:
IT Policy > PIM Synchronization > Disable BlackBerry Messenger Wireless Synchronization = No

You'll then get two new .csv files daily in your BES logs. BBMContact & BBMMessage.

Through the IT Policies you can enable the BBM audit logging.

Yet another reason to move to 5.0...how is it done when not on 5.0? I do not see an IT policy for logging BBM
We are on 4.1.6
Thanks for your help!

On BES 4.1 there is a BlackBerry Messenger policy section where you can set the audit settings for the BlackBerry Messenger
