Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to see if anyone has run into this. Unfortunatly the current (2.5.20) version of RIM's BB OCS client does not support devices running BBOS 4.1 or 4.2 the previous version (2.1.19) does and seems to be what RIM reccomends for older devices. Unfortunatly My carrier (Rogers Wireless Canada) is not supporting BBOS 4.5.x.x or later BB8700's (which we still have a few of)

Soo.. I tried to add the older version of the BB OCS client to my BB distribution point (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Applications\) and ran loader.exe ro reindex. When I try to create or edit an existing SW configuration or create a new one I get the pop-up message shown in this's posts attachment which mentions "Multiple instances of the following applications were found. Please remove all but the desired version..."

My Q for everyone is there a way to get both versions to co-exist on one bes and to create 2 seperate configurations (one for each package) and use the packages to deploy to the appropriate devices?

The last time I had a similiar issue I used View Document to solve it. But this KB article could work, too: View Document.
