Default Activation issue with BES Express

Recently installed Exchange 2010 and BES Express on a standalone server. Exchange is working fine and BESX installation went event free as well. I added a user for activation and I can see that the activation email arrived in their exchange inbox as well.

However, when I try to OTA activation for a blackberry with BES service,I simply get stuck at the "Activating <email>" screen and after a while get a message that the server did not responded to your activation request

Any clues? Windows Firewall is turned off for testing.
Thanks

Have you confirmed with your wireless service provider that the BlackBerry Enterprise Service is provisioned on the SIM card you are using in that device?

Also make sure it is BES provisioned and not just BIS provisioned on the line. You can use BIS on the new BES Express but you don't get the ability to utilise OTA activation (which in my opinion is a crucial element). Some lesser trained tech support bod on a helpdesk simply may not realise this and will assume BES Express + BIS APN on a line = worky!!

Other than that, check your BESAdmin permissions and inheritance again.

The unit does have BES on the SIM card as I can activate it at another regular BES (not Express).

Are there any working users on that BES Express?
