Default 5.0 SP1 install error

We are running BES 5.0 for Exchange and are trying to install SP1.

When we run setup.exe it is asking us for a Trade Up key.

Has anyone run into this problem? We have T support (level 1) so we get upgrades and we have upgraded several times before (3.5 -> 4.0 -> 4.1 -> 5.0) without any problem.

We have created a support ticket but RIM hasn't been exactly swift in responding.

Default 5.0 SP1 Installation Issue

Same issue here.

Purchased SBE (Small Business Edition, limited to 20 Cals) BES for Microsoft Exchange version 4.0 back in June 2005 and have purchased the TX2 support every year. We have been running our departmental BES w/Exchange 2003 without a problem since then, including all SP, MR, and Security patches. Upgraded from 4.1.6 to BES 5.0 back in Sept 2009 and currently running 5.0.0 MR3 (Bundle 255) with interim security software update 3 without any problems.

Was in the process of installing BES 5.0 SP1 (tried both Bundle 70 and 72) and get a box: “To continue upgrading to the full Blackberry Enterprise Server, type your Trade-Up Key”. Called tech support and they stated that I would need to upgrade to be able to install SP1.

I thought the SBE was full BES, just limited to 20 Cals. Does anybody know what the difference between SBE BES and BES is? Is it only the number of Cals that can be activated?

I would like to have as much information as possible, before I call customer support to discuss this issue with them.

Thanks in advance for your input.

At this point rim is telling us that SBE ends at 4.1.6. We are still talking with them but it doesn't look good.

They are even trying to get us to renew T Support with updates, even though they have said there will be no updates for SBE.
