Default Anyone running BES 4.1.6.x with Exchange 2007 SP2?

Hi Everyone,

According to RIM's most recent compatibility matrix:
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support...november09.pdf
Ex2k7 SP2 is listed as “Supported Best Efforts”. We're planning on deploying SP2 (with Ex2k7 SP2 Rollup 1) next week and I'm wondering if anyone has had any issues with BES 4.1.6 & SP2.

Much appreciated!

Z

did you look under 64 bit support? It is listed there.

Yup, but if you look Under 64 bit "Exchange Server 2007 SP2" it has the checkbox with the "x" beside it. which means supported, best effort. Which typically translates to "it seems to work but we have'nt finished our QA for this SP version yet". If you look at Ex2k7 SP1 it has a green check which means Reccomended/fully supported..

Just wondering if who has deployed Ex2k7 SP2 (ideally with Rollup 1) and if they've had any BES specific issues of note.

Warmest regards,
Z

I would wait on the next compatibility matrix update and I would say that there's a good chance that it will be supported (with some version of BES). Exchange 2010 will likely show up as supported and recommended come next month's matrix, although it may not be on the 4.x platform. I don't see them leaving E2K7 behind on this certification. However, it very well could be that not many customers are installing E2K7 in the 64-bit flavor, so there may not be enough of a demand to warrant certification. With E14 being 64-bit only, they have to move on it (and rumored to be very quickly).

E2K7 is also only available in 64-bit for production. MS will not support the 32-bit version outside a lab.
