Angry Windows 7 Pro + BDM + multiple devices

Ok this is REALLY stressing me out and is stopping me from doing my job. I have just gone to windows 7 professional (arguable whether this was a good thing or not). and I am having BB issues.

I have to sometimes backup, restore different devices for users within my company. My problem now is when I plug in a device Windows 7 tries to get the driver from Windows Update (every time). and sometimes this doesnt always always work. so therefore My PC doesnt see the device and I cannot backup/restore to it.

This used to work perfectly in Windows XP Pro SP3. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything. I have tried BDM 4.7, 5.0, USB drivers only as well. Nothing seems to make a difference. I know that when installing the BDM or drivers from the blackberry website it should include all the drivers for all devices. And it should look to the local machine for those drivers. But my Win 7 Pro isn't doing that. Always goes to Microsoft windows update. WHY????

Can someone who has seem this please get back to me I am really losing the will to live...............................

1-Windows 7 is not available publically. RIM has been notorious for not adding support until a good bit after the product, whether it be Windows or Office, has been released.

2-The driver provided with BDM and the USB-only packages is a universal driver for all USB-based BlackBerry devices. I've never experienced the behavior where the device looks to WU for an updated driver.

3-While I haven't tested with BDM 4.7 or BDM 5.0, I have with the BDM 5.0.1 beta and it works fine on Windows 7 with my Bold. It automatically loads the driver just like it would any other PNP USB device without prompting for software or drivers.
