Default Exchange Recovery

Hello everyone. We have just recovered from an Exhange hardware failure. Everything is back up and running and we can send and receive emails from the BB's. However the Address books are not synced and I receive a filure when I look up address from a newly created email. I cannot send to any internal emails that the address is the path to the local mail store (o=southerntheatres.net ou=...) I am also receiving hundreds of the following...

<N/A> | BlackBerry Messaging Agent WIN2K3SERVER2 Agent 1 (Application Event Log on WIN2K3SERVER2) | 09/29/2009 11:05:06 (6FFFC350) -> Invalid log entry - Level:3, EventId:30531(0x6FFF7743), Format:{%s} Failed to enable sync for private folder - unable to open contact folder(%s ID:%d) for user (0x%08lx), User:<null>, ArgCount:2, Args:arg[1](wchar_t*)=(name removed)@southerntheaters.com arg[2](wchar_t*)=BAD_PTR(73726946)

Has any one encountered this or have any advice as to where to start? I have opened a case with RIM but the president of the company is stopping by my desk every 20 minutes asking for an update.

Thanks!

Hey everybody. I just wanted to post the fix in case anyone ever googles the above error and lands here.

There is a hidden folder that is created in the exchange mailbox of a BES user when their BES account is created. Since we lost all of our mailboxes I created new ones in the same Storage Group these files were (obviously) not there and was causing the issue. I had to recreate all users. Luckily I only have 11!

FYI - MAKE SURE YOUR BACK UPS ARE WORKING PROPERLY ON EXCHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What level of backup do you have on Exchange? I'm just curious why the hidden folders weren't restored when you recovered.

that was the problem - no recovery was in place. well, it was but was not working properly. If it had been then all i would have done was a restore and i would have been golden.
