Default Mailbox Agent not functioning properly

This is a new issue for me and I'm looking for some help. Searched around some, but odd issue to phrase in a search.

Users on one Mailbox agent are getting a RED X when sending to external domains. Emails sent from their blackberries to internal users are being delivered. If we change their mailbox agent to one of the 2xx agents their problems go away. We've seen another organization with a similar issue and it was corrected by deleting the mapi profile on the BES server and recreating it. Trying to determine what has happened and why and if there is a better solution than deleting the mapi profile. Same users sending from Outlook are not having an issue so it's not an Exchange issue and since they can send internal it shouldn't be a Send As issue. Best we can determine receiving emails on the blackberries seems to be working just fine. Logs for that agent are showing:

[40719] (08/26 00:03:33.616):{0xAE8} {email addr} GetFolderIDFromList No folder ID in list for EntryID
[40599] (08/26 00:03:33.616):{0xAE8} {email addr} GetNewMovedMessages - Could not find folder entry id in folder list for RefId=-2122163627

30164] (08/26 00:11:34.956):{0x117C} {email} Mail seems to be in 'delayed notifications' state for 484 health checks. Session 0x01572790
[30165] (08/26 00:11:34.956):{0x117C} {email} Calendar seems to be in 'delayed notifications' state for 484 health checks. Session 0x01572790

My blackberry on the same server functions just perfectly, but I'm on another mailbox agent. It seems to only be affecting one mailbox agent which connects to two different Exchange servers. The other organization that had the issue last week was on the phone several hours with T2 support without resolution. They came up with the idea of deleting the profile. I've opened a case with T4 support today, so I'll be testing the DART to see if they are more knowledgeable than T2 support and my friends on the forums.

Default Nugget of wisdom

I would have to agree with the Tx2 rep on this one. I've dealt with problematic MAPI profiles many, many times. I would first verify that your MAPI32.dll files are current and match the MAPI32.dll on exchange 2003 or if you are on Exchange 2007, the CDO.dll on the Exchange server. If the file versions match, then I would check the registry hive as the BESAdmin (HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles) and see if there are a lot of latent profiles that arent purging. They should cycle out every 15 minutes. If there are a bunch of duplicates that arent purging, you likely have MAPI Profile issues.

I've seen MAPI profiles be the cause for 1 user of 1200 not receiving email and GAL searches were also failing. After moving that user to a static agent it worked fine. I rebuilt the MAPI profiles and rebooted, it worked fine on a dynamic agent again.

I hope this helps you out any.

BTW, those Tx4 DART guys are definitely knowledgeable.

Apparently, it's the issue addressed in KB13157 and requires a Microsoft Hotfix on the BES.

Which profile are you talking about? The "BlackberryServer" MAPI profile itself? Or the actual reg key in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles and then recreated the BlackberryServer profile?

Yes. When I spoke with T4, they said it would take clearing it all. I never cleared the profile, I just applied the patch.
