Default Stumped - BB Calendar issue

OK I have two users with this issue and I have checked all the typical things that would cause this as well chatted with TXSupport and they have no idea.

Basically it's with recurring meetings (Exchange 2003 SP2, latest CDO etc) BES 4.1 SP6, MR5.

Users are pulling duplicates on recurring meetings and the weird thing is the dup is no longer in Outlook - it was updated so BB is picking up the old meeting and the new one but only the new one is showing in Outlook?

Hope that makes sense.

I have wiped the BB, created a new Outlook profile, moved their mailbox. Unsure where to go with this.

Anyone else seen this behavior? Both users do have a admin assit.

In looking at the RIM KB/PDF on calendar-related issues, it is good to mention that this is no longer just a server-based issue to troubleshoot with regards to CDO and calendaring. A lot of fixes have been included in the handheld software, the Desktop Manager software (for assistants who manually synchronize calendars), obviously with BES, and with CDO (both Exchange server and Outlook client).

Do your assistants have any manual management configured with regards to their device and BDM? Or do they simply manage the users' calendars from within Outlook? We sometimes have the mysteriously disappearing calendar entry, but that has yet to be traced back to the BlackBerry environment. I have yet to see duplicate appointments, though.

Is this a Verizon Curve by chance?

I had the same problem with Verizon Curves running older OS's early this spring, so this was 2 revs back from 4.5. I believe it was the original out of the box release when the Curve was first released.

There was a certain group of people from one department who all had the same issue. After pounding my head into my desk trying to figure this whole thing out, I did remember that they all had Verizon Curves. I'd have them wipe and reactivate, but after wiping and reactivating a few times each within a few weeks time, I called RIM Support. I never noticed the issue on my Curve because I was always toying with newer OS's.

I was told by RIM support that the OS had a known bug in it and to upgrade the OS to fix it. Haven't had an issue with that group since.
