Default public contacts sync now with BES 5.0

So a rim tech told me with bes 5 and 5.0 handheld code the public folder contacts I have could finally sync wireless to the device. Anyone know how i can set it up and can i do it on a per user or group like basis?

currently all users wirelessly sync with their local contacts. I update public contacts as needed and they copy the changes up. They aren't too good about copying changes up so if they can sync from their local and public contacts that would be perfect...

Do you have a device with HH OS 5.0? Have you reviewed the 5.0 Admin Guide?

Yes and Yes. I checked the box for public contacts in the bes. Or i guess BAS it is now.

anyway I see how a user can setup his/her BB to sync to public now and their local. But can i set this up for users on the BAS side. Otherwise I'll have to walk around to everyone and set it up for them...

unfortunately that doesn't look to be in this first release ... just allowing access for now. I bet someone already has or will shortly come up with an application to do it though.

Well here is the problem:

First I went into the BAS and under Blackberry Solution Topology -> Blackberry Domain -> Component View, Click on Email.
Then Click Edit component and click on the public contact folder you want to be published. Save it.

So now in theory my public folder is published as far as the server is concerned...

Now go to manager users, click on a user.
Under the Messaging Configuration area I see one "Default Configuration". I click on that.
Then the "Email" tab on the right.
Then under the "Published public contact folders" is simply None Defined.

How do I get them defined there? that is where I need it checked so that i can setup the users to sync to it.
