Default [BES4.1sp6]"check for updates" Desktop policy?

I'm looking for a way to disable Desktop Manager v4.7 from checking for updates for our BES users.

We have a large number of users who have received Desktop Manager v4.7, and its prompting them that an update (dated 2009-06-05, that is 111mb) is available.

We need to stop this.

Is there a way to do it without having to touch each PC?

I see in the BES Policies, under the Desktop Policy Group, is a "Disable Check For Updates Link"... does this just hide the check for updates link in the lower right corner of Desktop Manager? or does it actually disable the Desktop Manager's checking for updates?

According to the Policy Reference Guide:

This rule specifies whether the Check for updates link in the BlackBerry® Desktop Manager is available.

You might look to in addition setting Override Check For Updates URL IT policy rule

This rule specifies the destination web address for the Check for updates link in the BlackBerry® Desktop Manager.

... and set it to a bogus / internal address.

I saw that, and was curious about it...

Problem is, we can't seem to get the desktop manager to consistently pop-up that the upgrades are available. So I can't test it well.
