Default Errors after upgrading to 4.1 SP6 and MR5

Hello fellow admins, I am looking for some help/advice on my issue. Here we go...

Was on 4.1.4 and upgraded to SP6, MR5, and security update 4 (PDF vulnerability).

After the upgrade, I see errors on the application log such as:

MAPIMailbox::CopyMAPIBodyToStreamHTMLAware - Convert property write (PR_BODY_HTML) (0x00000057) failed

AND

rim::MultiByteToWideChar - Convert stream evaluate (0x00000057) failed

AND

Failed to do progressive image conversion: RES_UnsupportedImageType (1)

No users have reported any issues but these warning messages are consistently coming up.

My setup:
BES 4.1.6 MR5 on Windows Server 2003 SP2
Exchange 2003 SP2 on Windows Server 2003 SP2
cdo.dll version on both servers is 6.5.7654.7
mapi32.dll version on both servers is 6.5.7638.1

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
Jay

It looks like there are some errors converting rich text email ...

Do you have any problems receiving and processing HTML email on your handheld?

Is/are the user(s) in question using devices with HH OS 4.5 or greater ?

Thanks for the quick reply.

No, the users have not reported any issues. I checked the software version and I have both. I have some users using the Bold 9000 and others with devices like the Curve 83xx. Even though some users are on 4.5 or above, I still see errors, and i also see errors on the < 4.5 users.

Thanks for your help.

If no one is reporting any problems and you're not seeing any problems currently I would chalk it up to BES logging being verbose and move on. I can't find anything definitive on this.

OK. I'll keep my fingers crossed. If you think of anything else, please let me know.

Thanks again for your help.

Default I'm getting the same...

All,

I'm getting exactly the same errors - I updated BES from 4.1.6 MR3 to MR5 = Security Update for the PDF fix...

If anyone finds some solution (if there is indeed one other than Verbose mode logging) please advise!

Hello all.

Maybe this is a hint. I tracked that error down, and found there are HTML codepages missing. But therefor 0x00000057 is a generic code, i still need to track down with someone to get the specific mail in raw, to receive more details.

Sincerly

Yesterady we had tons of these. Did a trace on REFID and found that HR forwarded an email with HTML code that all devices were unable to display, but was rendered in plain text on my device. No user complained but I like a mystery to be solved.

Found this to be the cause for us.

The dot between year and city was the cause. Removed the dot and devices were able to see the email in HTML with pretty colors.

This affected all devices we have.

Running BES 4.1.6 MR7 with MAPI32.dll 6.5.7654.12

Exchange 2003 SP2 with MAPI 6.5.7638.1
