Been helping a friends company with there BPS machine. It's all been working fine for 6 months but yesterday the SRP status changed to disconnected.

- I've had the SRP ID and Auth key checked out by RIM and they've said it's not locked.
- They've done a BBSRPTest and the got a successful result.
- They've tried a different SRP ID and auth key and got the result "Not able to make a successful SRP connection with the values provided, by applying these values there is a risk of disabling all ota service book capable devices."
- When they tried going to Start > Run and entering telnet srp.gb.blackberry.net they just got the dots and no result.

Any ideas on this one??

What does the ROUT log show? Attach a whole log if you can to this thread.

Has the server and SRP always been located in Europe using RIMs eu NOC?

Thanks for that, i'll get a copy of the log. I can check but pretty sure it always has been as they don't really have IT on site so the rest of the people there wouldn't know how to change it!

Telnet on port 3101 rather than not specifying one. The dots are expected if you're trying on the standard telnet port.

telnet srp.eu.blackberry.net 3101

My guess is that this is likely something local with the routing between their site and RIM's NOC or it could very well be an issue with their firewall configuration (the friend not RIM). Also, changing the SRP ID information in these situations is NOT good.
