Default Friday the 13th remake/reimaging

I've been looking forward to this for a long time. I think the series needed this to happen to restore it back to what it used to be.

The trailers look promising and it will be nice to see Jason in human form rather than a rotting mutilated corpse.

After Jason X and Freddy vs. Jason, something like needed to be done. And don't forget the magical teleportation skills of Jason in part 8, when that dude was climbing the pole on the ship.

I've been a fan of the series for a long time and am happy to see that they finally got some sense in them. Seeing as this is taking part around part 2 & 3, before the series went from being a "scary" movie to a silly series.

Anybody else looking forward this or am I the only dork excited for this movie? They picked a good actor for the role of Jason, Derek Mears who played one of the mutated cannibals from the Hills Have Eyes 2. He suits the character nicely.

I will be eagerly awaiting opening night, only 2 more weeks!

I am VERY excited ... but from the trailers it looks like Jason is actually going to be killing people. I think one of my favorite things is asking people "How many people did Jason kill in the first Friday the 13th?" ... and getting answers other than -0-

I thought it was yet another new TCM... when I saw it was a Jason remake, I nearly shat my pants. I'm definitely stoked!

Has anyone picked up their tickets for this yet? I got mine on Tuesday as soon as they went on sale. This is gonna be an awesome movie, if you don't think so then I have lost all faith in humanity

As long as the whole movie is good and not just what was shown in the trailers then I won't be disappointed.

I will report on the movie once I get back from it tomorrow night.

Just got back from the movie. It was everything I was expecting, freakin AWESOME! This is what the franchise needed. Hopefully they will leave it at this movie though, before they screw it up again.

The storyline worked perfectly, the acting was good, it wasn't cheesy and Jason was not a supernatural freak. They even have a few homages to the first movie.

I recommend seeing this in the theater, it's the best way to get the experience. Well worth the $11

not a fan, maybe I was remembering seeing the movies when I was younger but I walked out thinking the series should have stayed dead.

couple hot actresses though.
