The QB should do nothing the rest of the game except hand the ball off to the two very good running backs Bama has.

Spoke too soon obviously. I wish McElroy would have played like this on December 5th. Man, he looks bad tonight.

Hey all, long time no talk too. Wow, 4 years in a row the SEC has won the national championship.. Amazing. Overall, I thought the game was played bad on both sides.
Rivals and ESPN has Gators ranked #1 in recruting . HUGE committments today from three 5 star players.

Looking at the Rivals lists, doesn't look like UF is done yet either. And what the hell is AU gonna do with all those 5 star running backs?

We'd use them all? Dyer and Lattimore are very similar, power backs with deceptive speed (think Ronnie Brown). Lache would be a scatback with power that would be used in speed downs and could literally break it anytime he touched the ball (think Reggie Bush or C.J. Spiller).
But in all honesty, I think we only get two of them (likely Dyer and Lattimore).

Well, Tennessee may be losing their place. HUGE news that Kiffin is on his way to USC. Talk about a bad fit - a frequent violator moving to a school about to be on probation. LOL!

Final Rivals 100 released today:
Rivals.com Prospect Rankings
Ronald Powell up to #1 overall in the nation. Seastrunk moved to #4 RB and Lattimore and Dyer move to #1 and #2. Auburn currently at 4th in the nation. Florida in a distant top spot (and getting more). UTK dropped to 9th, but still 6 SEC schools in the top 9 spots. Auburn will look to close out this recruiting season with #10 Lattimore, #35 Lemonier, #54 Whitaker, amongst others.

Dawg, it's really weird watching a guy named Dooley say that Tennessee is the 'essence of college football'. I think he was probably choking trying to get those words out. It is a good opportunity for him though.

Asked about the big picture on recruiting after spending the weekend in Columbia, Lattimore told Inside the Auburn Tigers, “It is down to two--South Carolina and Auburn.”
Commenting on Coach Gene Chizik’s Tigers, Lattimore said, “Auburn, oh man! I got to talk with the quarterback they just signed, Cameron Newton. He is a good guy. He has got good morals and he is a good Christian guy. He is the kind of guy I want to be around, especially in the backfield.
“I love the coaching staff there,” he added. “Coach Chizik is real genuine and Coach Malzahn (offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn) is a good person and runs a great offense. Coach (Curtis) Luper, the running backs coach, is real laid-back and I like him a lot. I feel comfortable at Auburn.”
Asked if he knows where he is going yet, Lattimore said, “I am still thinking about it. Auburn has a slight lead though, I would say.”
Lattimore said he may take an unofficial visit to Auburn this coming weekend, but added, “I am not sure about that yet. Coach Chizik is coming on an in-home visit on the 28th and that is good.”
Auburn is also recruiting another South Carolina prep star, offensive lineman Eric Mack. He was on an official visit to South Carolina this weekend, too.
Asked if he believes Mack is still considering Auburn, Lattimore said, “Oh yeah, definitely.”

If we end up with the class we're hopeful to have, we may very well give Florida a run for the recruiting crown this year. I'm sure there will be some kids who waiver and we're now limited by overall numbers that we can sign (so we're likely going to miss out on Ahmad Dixon and Markeith Ambles), but this is turning into one heck of a month!

With this year's season over, and with Nebraska once again in the early conversations for next year's possible NC (see post above), it seemed like time to update my signature. Nebraska increases its lead, moving from .775 to .780. The teams in my sig are the ONLY ones with winning percentages above .700. Now say what you will (cue iam4uf showing up to whine about history ) winning nearly 80% of your games, year in and year out over 50 years is a pretty damn impressive accomplishment.

Maybe we'll get a chance to play for the NC next year and even it up at 3-3.
