Go USA!!!
I've just watched the USA spank Spain in the Confederations Cup. Spain didn't play the best football I've seen them play this year, but they certainly didn't have a very bad day (and even on a bad day they would beat England, so big respect to the USA).
I quite enjoyed this game, not least because I love an under dog and Spain have gone a record 35 international games unbeaten and have not lost since 15th November 2006. Plus there's nothing better than watching someone like Spain having their asses handed to them, and Spansih sports fans are some of the most racist I've seen in all sports (especially Formula 1) so I like them getting upset!!!
I know football (sorry, soccer) isn't a massive sport in the USA yet, but games like todays only help to promote the sport over there!

Damn right Si! And for the record, its football, us Americans have to be difficult with that kind of thing, even though we have no need to be.

Is that soccer or whatever that sport is?
Just kidding - a great win in spite of the fact that 3 Americans watched it

Can't see you doing Brazil in the final, but it is Brazil and those guys are (generally) in a class of their own against any opponent!

Keep in mind Spain was top ranked in this cup. I want to see Brazil fall against S Africa. That would be a hell of a final, the two under dogs

And I wouldn't bet on Brazil at the moment either - my bookie has similar odds for both USA and Brazil as the final winner. Brazil have been a little shakey of late and lets not forget that SA is the host nation for the World Cup so they have something to prove. There could be an upset yet and we'll end up with SA against the USA in the final. You're right, that would be a good game!

I am seeing different odds here, and I think if Brazil plays the game they "should", the score would be quite lopsided. However, as you say, they have been shakey as of late.

Wow, it went all the way to the 88th minute before Brazil scored. I was convinced (for 88 minutes at least) that you'd have South Africa in the final. That said, you might have em on the night (worth a ten quid bet if nothing else)!!!
