I know several of you who post regularly are from the Boston area. Any advice on fairly inexpensive (OK cheap) hotels there that wouldn't be considered dumps? I've always wanted to visit there and my wife used to live there years ago and wants to go back. We're thinking of making a weekend of it and I know there is way too much to do to stay in an overpriced hotel.

I suppose everyone's definition of overpriced is a bit different.
Whenever we go to Boston, which is usually twice a year, we stay at The Colonnade Hotel.
Recently renovated, reasonably priced, easy to get from there to other touristy areas.
