Environment

- Novell® GroupWise® 7.0 Support Pack 3 Hot Patch 2 and later

Overview
If the BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Novell GroupWise is installed with Novell GroupWise 7.0.3 HP2 or later, calendar reminders appear on the BlackBerry smartphone immediately after accepting a meeting request.
Cause
In Novell GroupWise versions earlier than 7.0.3 HP2, the alarm time was relative to a minimum value (midnight, 30 December 1899), whereas Novell GroupWise 7.0.3 HP2 and later, the alarm time is based on the current date and time.
Resolution
Apply Maintenance Release 4 for BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.1 Service Pack 6 for Novell GroupWise.
Workaround
Install the appropriate Novell GroupWise that is earlier than 7.0.3 HP2. For further information on how to update the version of Novell GroupWise, see KB04164
