Details
BlackBerry smartphones do not support the synchronization of distribution lists due to a limitation of the Intellisync® software.
As a workaround, if you are using a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, you can add the distribution list to the Global Address List and perform a lookup on the BlackBerry smartphone. This action eliminates the need to store the distribution list on the BlackBerry smartphone.
When synchronizing the contact list, groups created on the BlackBerry smartphone and distribution lists created in the email application on the computer are not synchronized.
* The personal distribution list or group contacts that do not contain a valid external Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) address cannot be synchronized with the BlackBerry smartphone.
* Global Address distribution lists or group contacts that contain a valid external SMTP address can be added to the address book and synchronized with the BlackBerry smartphone.
