KB17361 - SRP status may not display as Connected for up to 15 minutes

Environment

* BlackBerry® Enterprise Server

Overview

After re-enabling a Server Routing Protocol (SRP) that has been disabled, the SRP status does not display as Connected for up to 15 minutes.

Cause

Due to the network going in to a backoff mode, it can take up to 15 minutes before the SRP status states Connected because the queue is being built up.

Resolution

It takes a maximum of 15 minutes to update the SRP status. If you want the SRP status to update right away, restart the BlackBerry Router service.

Important: Restarting certain BlackBerry Enterprise Server services will delay email message delivery to BlackBerry smartphones. For more information, see KB04789
