Environment
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server version 4.1 SP2 to 4.1 SP6
Overview
The BlackBerry® Mobile Data System (BlackBerry MDS) Connection Service starts and stops unexpectedly.
Cause
The BlackBerry Enterprise Server is not configured to use the correct BlackBerry MDS Connection Service.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, configure the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to use the correct BlackBerry MDS Connection Service by completing the following steps:
- Open BlackBerry Manager.
- In the Explorer pane, click BlackBerry Domain.
- Click the Global tab.
- Expand Service Control & Customization.
- Click MDS CS to BES Mapping.
- Select the appropriate BlackBerry MDS Connection Service server.
- Click OK.
