Overview
The following table lists VMware ESX Server software versions that are certified for use with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

Additional Information
Currently, there is no support for BlackBerry Enterprise Server software installed on Microsoft® Virtual PC or Microsoft® Virtual Server.
When using VMware ESX, measure performance on the VMware ESX Server after installing the BlackBerry Enterprise Server and then gradually add BlackBerry smartphone user accounts. Measure performance after adding BlackBerry smartphone user accounts and compare to the baseline. If other virtual machines are running on the VMware ESX Server, it may affect how many BlackBerry smartphone users can be supported by the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. See the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Version 4.1 Performance Benchmarking Guide for more information about performance measurements.
