KB12985 - How to schedule automatic backups of BlackBerry smartphone
Environment
- BlackBerry® Desktop Manager
- BlackBerry® Web Desktop Manager
Overview
To schedule automatic backups of BlackBerry smartphone data, complete the following steps:
- Connect your BlackBerry smartphone to your computer.
- On the Backup and Restore tab in BlackBerry Web Desktop Manager, click Configure Automatic Backup.
- Select the Automatically back up my device check box.
- Set how often the automatic backup should occur.
- Perform one of the following options:
- To back up all BlackBerry smartphone data, select the Backup all device application data option.
- To exclude email messages or organizer data, select the Backup all device application data, except for option and select the data to exclude.
- Click Save.
