KB15787 - Set up users for pending messages monitoring on the BlackBerry Monitoring Service


Environment

  • BlackBerry® Enterprise Server for IBM® Lotus® Domino®
  • BlackBerry Monitoring Service 4.1.5



Overview

To set up BlackBerry smartphone users for pending messages monitoring on the BlackBerry Monitoring Service, complete the following steps:
  1. Log in to the BlackBerry Monitoring Service.
  2. Click the Monitoring Console tab.
  3. Select the server name in the left pane.
  4. Click on Manage User Thresholds in the Available Tasks window.
  5. In the Message Statistics box on the next screen, define when you want an alert sent to the Messages window on the BlackBerry Monitoring Service beside the Pending label.
  6. Select the check box beside the Pending label.
  7. Select Update Selected - Inclusive in the Available Tasks box.



Additional Information

A Failed Alert is sent to the Messages window when any BlackBerry smartphone user's pending count exceeds 200 (201+). To send alerts to an administrator, complete the following steps:
  1. Click the Configuration tab.
  2. Click the Notifications tab.
  3. Enter the email addresses to send the notifications to, the from email address, and the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server information.
  4. Click Update to accept the changes.
