HUH? Since when does the Wipe Handheld command delete applications?

You see, if we wrote this stuff instead of RIM then the world would be a more accurate place!

On newer devices (I think 4.2.2.x and later?) when you do a wipe handheld from the device you should get the option to also remove 3rd party applications.

I do remember seeing that....it's defaulted to no (or unchecked), I believe.

Me thinks RIM needs to update their documentation.

Joolie,

Your correct, it prompts you to remove them if you want but you must check the box to do so. It's 4.2.2.x and after devices only though.

How about this, would this require that box to be checked?

Remote Wipe Reset to Factory Defaults
Specify whether the BlackBerry device resets itself to factory default settings when it receives the Erase Data and Disable Handheld IT Admin command over the wireless network. Set this IT policy rule to True to require the BlackBerry device to permanently delete its stored IT policy and delete all third party applications, in addition to performing the BlackBerry device wipe process.

With this set the box doesn't matter. Whenever I'm doing testing I use this option. The wipes occur much faster too; why, I don't know ... but they do.
