KB15629 - Duplicate calendar appointments in Microsoft Outlook
KB15629 - Duplicate calendar appointments in Microsoft Outlook
Environment
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server software versions 4.1 Service Pack 4 Maintenance Release 5 (4.1.4 MR5) and 4.1 Service Pack 5 (4.1.5) for Microsoft® Exchange
- Microsoft® Exchange 2003
- SDR183113
- SDR183222
Overview
BlackBerry smartphone users may see duplicate calendar entries in Microsoft® Outlook® 2003 or 2007 where one entry is marked as Accepted and the other is marked as Tentative. This occurs when the CDO.DLL file version is 6.5.7653.x for BlackBerry Enterprise Server software versions 4.1.4 MR5 or 4.1.5 for Microsoft Exchange.
In the Mail Agent logs on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, the following is displayed:
[40765] (03/25 09:07:11.316):{0x2330} {@.com} MeetingTransactionCompleteHelper - MeetingTransferred failed for meeting with message RefId=-xxxxxxxxx
where <user_name>@<organization>.com is the email address of the affected BlackBerry smartphone user.
Resolution
Upgrade to BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.1.6 MR1.
Workaround
To work around this issue, return to version 6.5.7651.x of the CDO.DLL file installed on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
