KB10158 - Unable to receive messages to BlackBerry smartphone because the BlackBerry smartphone is associated with another BlackBerry Enterprise Server
Environment
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server for Microsoft® Exchange
- BlackBerry smartphone
Overview
Unable to receive messages on the BlackBerry smartphone.
Cause
The BlackBerry smartphone is associated with another BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
BlackBerry Enterprise Server agent log displays the following error: User appears to be running on a BES administered with separate database
Resolution
- Remove the BlackBerry smartphone user from the original BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
- Erase all data and applications on the BlackBerry smartphone. See article KB02318 for instructions.
- Add the BlackBerry smartphone user to the new BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
- Activate the BlackBerry smartphone over the wireless network.
