KB19187 - How to obtain a RefId for a message or calendar item on a BlackBerry smartphone
Environment
Overview
The following procedure shows how to obtain the reference ID (RefId) from a BlackBerry smartphone.
- Go to either Messages or Calendar and open an email message or calendar item.
- Hold the alt key and type view.
Note: On a SureType BlackBerry smartphone ensure the input mode is set to Multitap, hold alt and type 77331!.
- The reference ID (RefId) will display above the message header.
Note: A calendar RefId is titled EVT UID in newer versions of BlackBerry Device Software.
