KB13166 - How to add extensions to existing distillers for the BlackBerry Attachment Service
Environment
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server version 4.0 and later
Overview
To add extensions to existing distillers, complete the following steps:
- Open the BlackBerry Server Configuration by selecting Start > Programs > BlackBerry Enterprise Server > BlackBerry Server Configuration.
- Select the Attachment Server tab.
- Add the desired file extension to the Format Extensions line of the Connector Configuration.
- Edit the appropriate Distiller registry setting Data to include the new extension. Separate extensions with a semicolon.
- Restart the BlackBerry Attachment Service.
Additional Information
An example for extension .log in an American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) text file format. - Select the Attachment tab of the BlackBerry Server Configuration.
- Add the file extension to the Format Extensions.
- Edit the appropriate Distiller registry key. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Research In Motion\BBAttachEngine\Distillers\ LoadTextDistiller\Extensions
- Restart BlackBerry Attachment Service.
