KB10253 - "Please run Setup.exe to complete the installation before launching the BlackBerry Server Configuration Panel" after upgrading BlackBery Enterprise Server
Environment
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server version 4.1
Overview
After you install a service pack for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server using the Terminal Services application, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Configuration fails and the following error message appears:
Please run Setup.exe to complete the installation before launching the BlackBerry Server Configuration Panel.
Cause
When you log in to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server after you have installed a service pack, you are prompted to restart the BlackBerry Enterprise Server during the installation. The BlackBerry Server Configuration application does not automatically run to configure the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, run the setup.exe file from the service pack installation to complete the BlackBerry Configuration Database configuration.
